Introducing Vanessa

News
Cup of Grace would like to introduce you to our new Volunteer Coordinator, Vanessa Keck. She wants you to know that, first and foremost, she is so grateful to Jesus for His love and what He has done for her, and she wants to share His love with others. Vanessa lives in Spirit Lake East with her husband and two kiddos, a 7th-grade boy and a 5th-grade girl. They are homeschooling this year due to 2020 events, which has opened up more opportunities to serve with Cup of Grace. They first started volunteering with Cup of Grace in 2019 at the community meals, which morphed into helping deliver groceries and meals this past spring during quarantine. Help Bessie Retire

Help Bessie Retire

News
Bessie has worked hard all of her life and she’s dreaming of retirement, or at least cutting back to part-time work.  She’s familiar to almost all of the Cup of Grace volunteers who help at the Community Meal every week.  She’s been loyal to Amy and has withstood the harsh Idaho winters in her old age, transporting food to and from Amy’s house and the Spirit Lake Senior Center.  Still don’t know who Bessie is?  Bessie is the Cup of Grace van! Bessie was “born” in 2008 and served as the Privitt family vehicle in Texas for seven years before moving them up to Idaho in 2015.  Once in Spirit Lake, Bessie began her second career as the Cup of Grace van, hauling food, clothes, fundraiser supplies, and anything else…

What We’ve Been Up To

News
Most of us meet every Tuesday for Cup of Grace’s community meal, but did you know that our organization goes beyond that? We are a small group of volunteers trying to make a difference in our community. The community meals have been a great way to bring neighbors in Spirit Lake together, and we have more in store for you, such as a weekend lunch program for youth in town to supplement what they receive during the week. Here are some of the projects Cup of Grace accomplished in 2017 alone: Served a free dinner every Tuesday Served a men's breakfast the first Saturday of every month Collected clothing and helps staff (and supplied) Phoebe's Place, a free community thrift store located in the Priest River Ministries Advocacy Center in…
